A blond-haired teenager named Ashton wielded a very large sword.
“War is about to break!” cried an unnamed soldier man who wielded a gun.
Ashton ran into the temple, raised his sword, and fought a very large beast. Upon killing the beast, he was awarded with the money and items that the beast left behind.
“Hurry!” cried the gun-wielding man. “The summoner girl is about to awaken, and we need someone to protect her!”
“I'll protect her!” shouted Ashton, rushing forward.
The girl was trapped in a crystal. She awakened, and the crystal bursted.
“You're beautiful!” exclaimed Ashton.
“We must go to my hometown, Beardon,” said the girl. “As for my name... you can call me Tufina.”
Ashton and Tufina entered Beardon.
“Why did you want me to come here?” asked Ashton.
“We must meet Cid. He has an airship and he's my mother's second husband. Unless you're talking about the Cid that's my uncle... I don't like him,” said Tufina.
“Airship?” exclaimed Ashton.
“Yes. We will ride an airship,” said Tufina. “It's more romantic than riding a chocobo.”
“Oh, by the way...” said Tufina. “I want you to meet my maid. She protects me.”
“Hi, I'm Lili,” said the maid. “Want to share a room with me?”
“No thanks,” said Ashton. “I like Tufina better because she doesn't dress in such provactive clothing.”
“I heard that, I'm standing three feet away!” yelled Tufina.
“Uh, oops,” said Ashton as he rubbed his head in embarassment.
Suddenly, the area around exploded. All three people readied their weapons to fight a monster that had appeared. “I'll defeat it!” yelled Lili. “I know Firagra!”
Lili casted Firagra and the monster went 'boom'.
“Whew, that was a close one,” said Lili. “I am covered in sweat.”
“Here, I will heal you,” said Tufina.
“Thanks,” said Lili.
Suddenly an unnamed man ran up. “Cilta has a new leader!” he shouted as he cheered.
“Cilta?” said Ashton.
“Yes, Cilta,” said Tufina. “Cilta is a land where make-believe became reality, back when Jack was in power. Then Jack died, which caused everyone else to die. Then the town was rebuilt after being destroyed by monsters... but the monsters didn't revive Jack. Then the people turned to magic. This magic was questionably corrupt, so then a flying snake cursed it in such a way that the people live forever.”
“Wow!” said Ashton.
“Actually, that's not how it happened,” said a mysterious man named Todd.
“Todd!” hollered Ashton. “I thought I'd never see you again!”
“No time for talk... let's find Cid,” said Todd.
---
“So you ride an airship?” asked Ashton. “That's incredible.”
“Ride? I'm the pilot,” said Cid.
Just then, the airship shook.
“Uh-oh,” said Cid.
“What?” said Ashton.
“Cilta has a new leader,” said Cid.
“Which I am very happy about,” said Tufina.
“Not me though,” said Todd.
“Cheer up, stranger,” said a skinny girl named Perky as she rubbed Todd's shoulder.
“Don't touch me,” said Todd. “I have enough women in my life that can touch my shoulder. I don't need you too.”
“Well, you don't have to be so grouchy!” said Perky.
“Uh-oh...” said Tufina.
“What?!” asked Ashton.
“I feel a little bit of a summon coming on!” said Tufina, who then took off running.
“What's her problem?” asked Ashton.
“Tufina doesn't like boys who wield swords watching her as she goes through the trials to get a new monster to summon,” said Lili.
“Ah,” said Ashton.
The party watched the monitor on Cid's airship. It showed the initiation of the Cilta's leader.
“I will be a very good leader,” said the proud but young leader of Cilta. “You can call me... Baktoe.”
“Yay, Baktoe is on!” exclaimed Tufina. “I will marry him, yay!”
“I did install an emergency eject-to-wedding-ceremony teleporter in my ship,” said Cid. “Off with you!”
The party watched as Tufina married Baktoe. They kissed for two hours, and then Baktoe took her away and his servants killed her upon his request.
“Rumor is that Tufina is dead,” said Cid.
“Oh no!” exclaimed Ashton. “I don't know how... but we will do everything in our power to save her!”
“Too late,” said Todd. “We were the one blamed for Tufina's death.”
“But Baktoe doesn't even know us, does he?!” exclaimed Ashton. “Well, does he?!”
“I might have made a whoopsie,” said Todd.
“Well, we'll ride over Baktoe and drop a bomb on him,” said Cid. “By that time, he'll only have 20,000 HP... so you guys can finish him off.”
“Yay, we can do it!” said Ashton.
“Don't you think you should learn how to use a sword first?” asked Lili.
“Oh... right...” said Ashton. “I'll name my sword Vlajakn, for the hope I hope it brings me.”
“You guys aren't powerful enough to be good helpers to me in a battle against Baktoe... who may be powerful,” said Todd.
“Well you guys will have plenty of time to level-up,” said Perky. “Don't you know? When we hit the ground, we will have to go through a 15-hour labyrinth filled with monsters!”
“That's right,” said Cid. “The closer you get to a land, the larger it gets. Pretty soon, you'll be like ants in comparison. And monsters are everywhere, tough ones too. But of course... I've never been down there before, since losing everything that mattered to me and focusing all my talent on piloting an airship.”
“We understand!” said Perky with a nod.
“I wouldn't go down there if I where you...” said Todd.
“What?! Wait!” said Ashton.
“Leave him to his ways,” said Lili.
“You know Todd?” exclaimed Ashton. “I've known him for 15 years, and I still don't know him!”
“Shows how little you know...” said Lili.
